Greaseball Challenge LLC organizes shoestring
road rallies using
renewable fuels to support grassroots environmental projects in
developing countries. We think there are viable, albeit fringe, alternatives
out there for your gas tank – and by using them, you can go a very
long way for a very good cause!
Greaseball™ follows a number of charity car rallies we’ve done in recent years. In 2004 and 2005, as participants in the Plymouth-Banjul Challenge from the UK to Africa raising funds for the Tsunami Relief, working with YouthAIDS and UPOP on XM/Worldspace satellite radio, and driving an ice cream van across the Sahara. In 2006, we organized Busman’s Holiday driving from the UK to Chechnya to deliver a gymnasium floor to a troupe of Chechen dancers.
